1. Tennessee Titans (Josh Ungar- Co-Host of Championship Rings and Contributor)- Fernando Mendoza- QB - Indiana
The Raiders have been looking for their Franchise Quarterback for years and in Mendoza they get a proven winner. Who would've guessed that Indiana would go 16-0 and capture a National Championship? The Raiders are hoping that Mendoza can bring at least a little bit of that magic to their franchise. In the Natty against Miami, Mendoza showed a little athleticism which could come in handy considering the caliber of some of the defenses that he'll have to against in the AFC.
2. New York Jets (Christian Hinton - Host of The Christian Hinton Experiment and Contributor)- Arvell Reese- LB- Ohio State
Originally, I considered throwing a wrench in things by picking a guy like Ty Simpson, but after the Jets signed Geno Smith, I talked myself out of it. The consensus among the experts is that Reese is the top rated defensive player in this draft and, other than quarterback, defense is the Jets biggest weak spot right now. In my opinion, he has the most upside of the "top" defensive players in this draft. Unless they absolutely fall in love with Simpson (it's the Jets, so nothing would shock me), this seems like a no brainer for them.
3. Arizona Cardinals (Sean "Fitz" Fitzgerald- Host of Fitz On Sports and Contributor)- Caleb Downs - S- Ohio State
I don't believe the Cardinals will shock the NFL like Jacksonville did when Blake Bortles was selected with the very same No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. As much as rookie head coach Mike LaFleur would like to select a quarterback, there might be better opportunities to trade back into the first round to try and grab a quarterback like Simpson. Reese would have been the perfect fit here, but with the Jets selecting him, that makes this pick a dilemma. If the Cardinals choose to target the best player remaining on the board instead of addressing a top need at edge/linebacker, Downs comes off the board a pick or two sooner than expected.
4. Tennessee Titans (Josh)- David Bailey- LB - Texas Tech
The Titans could possibly go in the direction of bolstering their offensive line to protect QB Cam Ward, or they could go in the direction of running back witth Jeremiyah Love to add another weapon to the offense. However, they hired Robert Saleh to be their head coach this offseason, and he was previously the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator, where he had Fred Warner at linebacker. Bailey was one of the main figures on Texas Tech's defense last season, so he could come in and make an immediate impact for the Titans defensively and perhaps be their version of Warner.
5. New York Giants (Josh)- Jermod McCoy- DB - Tennessee
The Giants are in the NFC, where there are a lot of high powered offenses and most of the top wide receivers are in the conference like Justin Jefferson, Puka Nakua, Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown, among others. As such, you need to have a really strong defense and a solid back end in terms of cornerbacks and safeties. McCoy had to go against some of the top receivers in College Football since he was in the SEC, so that gives him a leg up, especially because I expect the Giants to play more man-to-man defense under new head coach John Harbaugh, which could be a perfect fit for McCoy.
6. Cleveland Browns (Fitz)- Carnell Tate- WR - Ohio State
Tate is the latest premium receiving target to enter the draft this decade, with Jeremiah Smith a potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 draft class. What Tate brings to Cleveland is a sure-handed target at 6’2, 192 pounds and a solid 4.53 40-yard dash at the draft combine. While a potential comp to Mike Evans may appear to be a reach, it’s the long-term outlook and short-term punch that Tate reminds me of Evans as a prospect. Two of the other top wideout prospects have some concerns for me, with figures cited from the New Orleans Saints website. Makai Lemon is three inches shorter and would fit better if the Browns had a pass-catcher such as Tate already, but Isaiah Bond is already rostered. As for Jordyn Tyson — the younger brother of current Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jaylon Tyson (Jaylon stands at 6’6) — while he may be the same height as Tate, I have concerns over his measurements for arm length (30 1/4 to Tate’s 31 3/4) and hand size (9 1/8 to Tate at 10 1/4). Tate is the safest and best pick for Cleveland, with an offensive tackle on-tap for No. 24 overall.
7. Washington Commanders (Christian)- Jeremiyah Love- RB - Notre Dame
The Commanders may still look to go defense here (they gave up six yards per play last year), but this Mock Draft is already pretty defense heavy, and if the draft plays out like this mock, I think they Commanders will likely go with Jeremiyah Love. He's arguably the purest offensive talent in this draft and would be an immediate plug-and-play guy for the Commanders, who desperately need a run-attack to balance the offense and give Jaiden Daniels more options (and less of a weight to shoulder).
8. New Orleans Saints (Josh)- Reuben Bane Jr. - DE - Miami FL
I could see the Saints going wide receiver here, perhaps Tyson out of Arizona State, and I know they've got Alvin Kamara and just signed Travis Etienne, but if Love is still on the board, then I don't see the team passing on him. But in this particular case, the Saints need to beef up their defensive line and find a replacement for Cam Jordan. Well, Reuben Bane Jr. was an absolute game wrecker for Miami FL last season, and he could be exactly what the Saints need to help generate a pass rush and cause havoc in the backfield.
9. Kansas City Chiefs (Fitz)- Makai Lemon- WR - USC
All it takes is one bad season to have an opportunity at a potential blue-chipper to reignite the stalled Kansas City Dynasty. Lemon is the perfect fit for the Chiefs to plug the Tyreek Hill role they've sorely lacked after trading the multi-time All-Pro to Miami several years ago. There's likely no better match in the first round than Lemon and Patrick Mahomes.
10. Giants (Fitz)- Francis Mauigoa - OT - Miami FL
We were nearly done with our Mock Draft when the Bengals and Giants swung the Dexter Lawrence trade! Now with the Giants picking twice within the Top 10, it nearly was a catastrophe. The good news is: Jaxson Dart needs more offensive lineman to protect him... or I guess that's good news depending on your point of view. That's why they'll flip to the offensive side of the ball after addressing cornerback with McCoy at No. 5. And would you believe me if I told you this fact: when the Cleveland Browns traded the No. 17 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to the Giants, they used it to select Dexter Lawrence. And when you read this hyperlinked post... you may feel enraged if you are a Cleveland fan.
11. Miami Dolphins (Brandon Lewis - Sports Director, Host of Brandon's World, Co-Host of Championship Rings and Contributor)- Spencer Fanu - OT- Utah
Fano is somewhat undersized for the position, but he is an impressive athlete with explosiveness, fluidity and balance. His grip strength and competitiveness make him a strong fit for an outside zone scheme, which is what the Dolphins will run under new head coach Jeff Hafley. They have Malik Willis now at QB and while their roster has holes everywhere, I think they will take the best player available at this point.
12. Dallas Cowboys (Christian)- Sonny Styles - LB - Ohio State
I almost wrote in a cornerback here, as I was convinced Styles was already taken (there's no way he falls to 12). In fact, rumors are that the Cowboys would TRADE UP to take him. If he's here at 12 somehow, there no shot they wouldn't draft him. It's both "best player available" and best fit, so this works well for Dallas.
13. Los Angeles Rams (Josh)- Kenyon Sadiq - TE - Oregon
There's a lot of speculation that the Rams could draft a QB to be the heir apparent to Matthew Stafford. Perhaps Simpson, but Stafford is coming off an MVP season, and the Rams made it all the way to the NFC Championship. Stafford showed that he still has fuel left in the tank, so it doesn't make sense to take a quarterback, especially not with the 13th pick in the draft. With both Tate and Lemon off the board, there's not another wide receiver that I can justify taking inside the Top 15. With that being said, it never hurts to have too many pass catchers offensively, and we've seen teams be effective with two tight ends, so that's why Sadiq goes off the board here. I believe that with Stafford and Head Coach Sean McVay, the Rams will find creative ways to use him offensively.
14. Baltimore Ravens (Christian)- Peter Woods - DL - Clemson
The Ravens would really like Sadiq here, especially with Isaiah Likely gone. If he's gone before the Ravens pick here, I think they go best player available here, which would be Peter Woods. They need help on the interior defensive line, and he would be a perfect plug-and-play option for them on day one. Woods has said he liked the Ravens culture and thinks he would be a fit... I agree. However, I think there's a good chance they trade this pick to get some more capital. especially considering this wasn't even supposed to be where they were picking after the now-failed trade for Maxx Crosby.
15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Josh)- Olaivavega Ioane - OG - Penn State
If the Buccaneers are gonna get back to where they believe they should be, they've got to sure up their offensive line because Baker Mayfield was hit way too much a year agp. It felt like every time he went back to pass, the opposing defensive line was already causing havoc. Tristan Wirfs can't do it all by himself, so Ioane could pair with Wirfs on the left side of the Bucs offensive line to protect Mayfield's blindside.
16. Jets (Christian)- Jordyn Tyson - WR - Arizona State
Selfishly, I hope the Browns can find a way to grab Tyson if their unable to get Tate. If that doesn't happen, I think it would be a great pick by the Jets here. I again was thinking about grabbing Simpson here, but I truly don't think the Jets would make a risk like that here. As I said before, it's the Jets, so who knows, but Tyson would make the most sense here to help Smith and Garrett Wilson out a bit on offense. Tyson has some injury history (which is probably the sole reason he's ranked as everyone's third or fourth reciever this year), but if he can get passed that in the NFL, he's a big, tall force than can wreck havok on defenses if given the chance.
17. Detroit Lions (Fitz)- Monroe Freeling - OT - Georgia
Between Kadyn Proctor and Freeling, Detroit will more than happily take advantage of their good fortune. We'll go with Freeling here. Even if he is the less experienced of the two, he'd enable the Lions to keep Penei Sewell at right tackle and slide in on the blindside as Taylor Decker's replacement. Still, it won't shock me if Proctor is the pick instead.
18. Minnesota Vikings (Fitz)- Emmanuel McNeil-Warren - S - Toledo
There are a couple of safety options on the board here for Minnesota to take a look at. It's a coin toss between McNeil-Warren and Oregon's Dillon Thieneman. Toledo did produce an All-Pro within the last few years in the secondary, with Quinyon Mitchell in Philly. At some point, Harrison Smith is no longer in a Viking uniform, and this is a good opportunity to address the position.
19. Carolina Panthers (Josh)- Dillon Thieneman - S - Oregon
The Panthers definitely took a step forward last season. Bryce Young might be turning a corner, though we'll have to wait and see. They did lose Rico Dowdle in free agency, but besides Love, who most likely will be off the board, there's not another running back that would make sense 19th overall. So go to the other side of the ball because they need to continue building the defense. Thieneman has the versatility, which should allow him to help in the passing and running game.
20. Cowboys (Christian)- Mansoor Delane - DB - LSU
A lot of experts have Delane as their top rated corner, and there's good reason for it. The Cowboys were at the bottom of the league last year in major pass defense categories, and if they end up with Styles at 12, this would be the perfect opportunity to build their defense (which was also at the bottom of the league last year).
21. Pittsburgh Steelers (Brandon)- Kadyn Proctor - OT - Alabama
The Steelers have a new head coach for the first time in almost two decades, as Mike McCarthy takes over for Mike Tomlin. There's some thought the Steelers could go quarterback here (mainly Simpson) to potentially find their next franchise saver, but I do think they feel Aaron Rodgers is returning this season and that if not, they can see what they have in former Ohio State QB and National Champion Will Howard. With that in mind, whoever the QB is for 2026, the Steelers need to protect them, and Proctor is a massive human. At 359 pounds, the 20-year-old could develop into a stud left tackle, and Mike McCarthy has had good offensive lines wherever he has coached.
22. Los Angeles Chargers (Josh)- Kayden McDonald - DL - Ohio State
The Chargers have been trying to figure out their offensive line issues for a few seasons now but is it really worth reaching for the next best offensive lineman at No. 22 overall? I don't believe so. When you're in a division that has Patrick Mahomes, Bo Nix, and Fernando Mendoza (presumably), you need to be able to get after the QB and McDonald certainly would help the Chargers do so. We've seen Jim Harbaugh make magic with interior defensive linemen, so McDonald could be another feather in the cap of Harbaugh.
23. Philadelphia Eagles (Christian)- Omar Cooper Jr. - WR - Indiana
I really wanted Kayden Proctor here (I think the Eagles would like that, too), but I have a feeling the team may be moving on from A.J. Brown. If they do, they'll be in good hands with Cooper Jr. here at 23. He'd be a great compliment to Devante Smith and wouldn't have to worry about putting up Brown-esk numbers right away. As my buddy Brandon Lewis would tell you, the heart of that offense is still the run game.
24. Browns (Fitz)- Blake Miller - OT - Clemson
I considered reaching a little for Georgia Tech's Keylan Rutledge, but I'll go with the four-year starter who only allowed two sacks and nine pressures last season. If the Browns don't trade down and select Tate earlier in the night, this would be a solid pick to wrap up their first round.
25. Chicago Bears (Brandon)- Caleb Banks - DL - Florida
The Bears offense is pretty much set. They need help all over the defensive, and Banks can clog the middle and help a Bears defense that ranked 29th a year ago.
26. Buffalo Bills (Brandon)- Denzel Boston - WR - Washington
The Bills acquired DJ Moore in a trade this offseason with Chicago, but even with Khalil Shakir in the slot, I still feel Josh Allen needs another weapon, especially with the public comments that were made about former first-round pick Keon Coleman this offseason by those upstairs. Boston is a 6'4 wideout, who can play the Z position and be a nice compliment to the Bills passing attack. I also feel Joe Brady is going to want to go offense with his first choice as head coach, even if the defense needs more attention.
27. San Francisco 49ers (Christian)- K.C. Conception - WR - Texas A&M
Mike Evans is going to be the primary receiver for this team, but with Brandon Aiyuk gone, they'll need some help. I'm sure Conception isn't their first choice, but he could be a good fit for San Fran.
28. Houston Texans (Brandon)- Emmanuel Pregnon - OG - Oregon
May be a little bit of a reach for Houston (and we could see a trade back here for that reason), but they need help all over their offensive line if they want to truly evaluate if C.J. Stroud is QB1 of the future.
29. Chiefs (Fitz)- Colton Hood - CB - Tennessee
Hood is a popular pick near the end of the first round of some mock drafts, and Kansas City acquired this pick by trading away corner Trent McDuffie. They snagged Lemon at No. 9 overall and address the cornerback room that is in desperate need of repair.
30. Dolphins (Brandon)- Avieon Terrell - CB - Clemson
Brother of Atlanta Falcons DB A.J. Terrell, Hafley was used to having a lockdown secondary in Green Bay, and he gets the best player available here and a lockdown corner as a building block for a future Miami Dolphin defense.
31. New England Patriots (Brandon)- CJ Allen - LB - Georgia
New England would really like a wide receiver here to replace Stefon Diggs, but with most of the WR's gone, the Super Bowl runner-ups will wait and add another piece to their defense, as Head Coach Mike Vrabel adds a player similar to him in CJ Allen out of Georgia, a school known for their defense.
32. Seattle Seahawks (Brandon)- Akheem Mesidor - DE - Miami FL
The defending champs have the luxury of taking the best player left on the board at the end of the first round, regardless of position. Putting him opposite of DeMarcus Lawrence could lead to an even more dominant pass rush than they had a year ago, especially with Leonard Williams anchoring the middle.
